A twenty something Londoner on the hunt for the best places to eat, drink and pass my time.

Summer at Oslo

It's OSLO, take two. I blogged about Hackney Central's (not) best kept secret last year, when I was invited to try the summer cocktail menu and ended up being treated to dinner, too. I was excited to return with the promise of sampling their summer food menu.

Female spirits at Courtesan

Nope, this post is coming your way three weeks late... "Spirit" refers to the alcoholic kind, and "female" to the fact females are the ones behind the spirits offered at newly-refurbished Courtesan, a dim-sum restaurant in Brixton.

Little Shuffle Club, Shoreditch

I'm kind of crap at sports. Actually, strike that... I'm terrible at sports. I only become competitive when I'm doing vaguely well, and then I get overly enthusiastic, lose focus, and er, lose. So the launch of London's first permanent table shuffle club, The Little Shuffle Club, peaked my interest.

Living it large at The Lighterman

It's fun to win, isn't it? When my bezzie and I tagged each other on an Instagram post to win a meal and cocktails at this rather fancy gastropub near Kings Cross, we never actually thought we'd win. But we did, and the excuse of free food and booze came at the perfect time.

Locked and loaded (buns) at Brother Marcus

If you feel like you've heard me talk about Brother Marcus before, you'd be right. I visited for a mean brunch in the summer. Recently, BM has launched an evening menu comprising of loaded buns, cocktails, wines and beers. I was more than happy to return.

How to pretend you're on holiday (when you're stuck in Blighty)

This year, the most exotic place I've been (and will be), is Lake Windermere. It was a lovely week spent with my family. But it rained. Nearly every day. And it was cold. And it's meant that everyone's far-flung holiday snaps of Mykonos, Bali, Italy and the like have gotten me down...

Heist Bank's offerings are criminally good

Picture this: you're planning your night out. You want something chilled - preferably a few bars, potentially a club, but you don't want to commit. But then when you're in the first place, you're loathe to move, but you don't want to feel like you missed out, etc etc. Nightmare, no?

A new place in Brixton with glittery pineapples

I do love myself a launch party. I love a launch party even more when said launch is full and buzzing by 7pm and there is a faux bus with tables and chairs, with glittery fruit on top.

Night on the Tiles at Barrio Soho

I don't know about you, but I reckon Mexican cuisine is the ultimate comfort food. It's flavour-some, warming and there's often lots of melted cheese involved. Winning. Plus, who can resist some chunky guac, spicy salsa and cool sour cream?

Ask For Janice, Smithfields Market

I'm not a "City" girl. As much as I adore corporate attire worn on the likes of "Suits" (Donna and Rachel are absolute goals), I'm more of a jeans and ankle boots kinda gal. But any fears I had of starched suits and pencil skirts making me look more shabby than chic were erased when my friend and I rocked up to Ask For Janice.

Fish Market, Liverpool Street

Located directly across from Liverpool Street station, it's hard to believe I've never ventured down New Street - the street on which Fish Market is located. In comparison to the hustle and bustle of Bishopsgate only a hundred or so metres away, it's surprisingly serene.

Dirty Bones, High St. Kensington

I really wanted to name this post something like "Getting dirty at..." or "Down 'n' dirty at..." but then I realised that actually I didn't want my post to sound like a weird food romp, so I kept it simple and to the point. And that's my amazingly interesting title back-story for you all.

Eat and drink your way through London Fashion Week

So this is the first time since leaving university that I haven't been involved in London Fashion Week in any shape or form - I'm not working it, and I'm not watching it. It's seriously gutting (as in, it makes my heart hurt), but I know I'm not alone.

WUBU2?

Hi guys - it's been a while. Lots has been going on this month. I fell into a blogging funk and I didn't know how to snap out of it. I didn't know what to write or when to write  or if I even had anything to write about... It sucked. So, what have I been up to in my month's hiatus?

Nam Long's Opium Den

Okay guys, so I messed up... I was running late, and I forgot Nina (the Nikon), and I had no time to go back and grab her. Sob. So these images are courtesy of Omar Loi, and my Samsung S-not-the-newest-model. But here's what went down at Nam Long's new addition, The Opium Den.
